A mesothelioma patient is an individual who has developed a rare, deadly form of cancer that originates almost exclusively as a result of exposure to asbestos and the resultant inhalation of asbestos fibers.
This exposure usually occurred in a work environment, for which the mesothelioma patient has legal rights for compensation from workers' compensation and can file civil lawsuits against the various manufacturers of asbestos.

Mesothelioma Patient
Welcome to the Mesothelioma Patient site.
Mesothelioma is also known as the "asbestos cancer" since it is an asbestos-related disease. It attacks the membranes that cover the lungs, abdominal cavity and internal organs of the body.
Mesothelioma is often not discovered for years, or even decades, after exposure to asbestos fibers. It takes a long time to develop after the individual is exposed to airborne asbestos fibers.
It is one of the few cancers that don't exhibit symptoms until the cancer reaches the late stage of development and it is at this point that many cases are incurable.
Mesothelioma is a cancer that typically affects middle-aged or older men who were exposed to asbestos while on the job.
